Thank you to everyone who took part in my poll. A decisive 70% of you said flood warnings would negatively affect your attitude towards a property – a wisdom that agents share, particularly in the light of recent catastrophic events around the UK.
It was interesting that 30% answered maybe, suggesting they might believe the Government will put in more flood defences in the future, and a good deal’s a good deal. Or is it? Purchasers will have to weigh up that decision when considering whether a lower priced property in a flood-risk area is a good economic risk or asking for trouble down the line.
